In a teen’s bedroom, it’s important to create a space that is fresh, vibrant, but can be changed easily with their ever-changing moods. We used white as the grounding color for the room, with varying textures, and added a bit of color in accessories and natural elements. This way, the room can transform into a different color scheme later.
The room was inspired by the fresh colors found in the painting on the headboard wall. It was great to pull the colors throughout the rest of the room for balance.
The graphic zebra rug allows the room to have a sense of boldness, but still ties in with the rest of the space. The room also needs to function, so storage was essential with the long dresser and nightstands. A seating area is a must for lounging and relaxing.
This room is perfect for a sassy and stylish teenage girl who just graduated from a tween bedroom. I want her to feel a sense of calm with the layering of whites, yet drawn to various points of interest.
