This room was inspired by the sophisticate that lives in a big city seeking luxury, comfort, and style in a time where hard lines and cold materials seem to be the standard. It’s a studio apartment that doesn’t feel like a dorm room.
This room works because it brings warmth with the silky soft rug that ties the whole room together, luxury with the marble coffee table and lamp, and a touch of glam with the polished metal pendant light in the center of the room. We have started with a classic based and layered on elements of modern flair.
The button tufting on the sofa pair with its sleek rounded back structure and tapered legs made it easy to build around. It encompasses both the modern and classic elements that will be the basis of the rest of the room. Adding the grey bed with its channel tufted headboard is an updated homage to the traditional tufting we see with the classic design style.
When people come into this space I want them to feel welcome and invited. They should feel like it is a home and not a hotel. I’d hope that the person who dwells in this space feels like it represents who they really are in a beautiful way.
